Well class, every one of you taught me something I didn’t know today. As you worked on your projects you pushed into new areas with each online tool. In the current parlance we acted as a professional learning community as you each shared in the continuous cycle of learning and teaching.

  • Deb, yes the Edublogs Plugins are a good thing. Colored text and more editing options. Who knew??
  • Theresa, I needed your patience for the Audacity lesson, you may have future in radio.
  • Nancy, I now know some shortcuts in Office that you learned at AtomicLearning.com.
  • Anne, you have taken Voicethread into new realms, now I’ll have to come observe you using your SmartBoard.
  • Barbara, I’ve found that I remember a few things about working on a PC and that working in two platforms is very doable in one classroom.
  • Mary, we almost lost you to YouTube, but I have new arguments for why that shouldn’t be blocked at school.
  • Erin, after I helped you upload pictures and documents to your wikispace I went back and relearned that I could upload documents to a Edublog post (let’s see, what would Homer Simpson say right about now!?!?!?)

Top Edublogs

Check out the latest blog entry by Scott McLeod at TechLearning.com for his research on what education blogs are being read the most. The comments raise some of the same questions that you have raised in class about the purpose of blogs, the quality of writing in blogs and what constitutes a valued entry.
