1. Go to the GLEF post and respond to the assignment in the Class Blog.
2. By Tuesday start of class, read one of these two Edutopia articles:
Adopt and Adapt by Marc Prensky.
If you read this article, reflect on whether you are:

- Doing old things in old ways.
- Doing old things in new ways.
- Doing new things in new ways.
in your teaching. What would it look like if you were to use technology to do new things in new ways? Use your blog and put an entry under Classwork.
New Skills for a New Century by Robert Pearlman. This article describes Project Based Learning as a way to ensure that students learn the skills to be successful in the 21st century. Respond to this article and the idea that classroom assessment should be a blend of asking what students know and how well they can use what they know. If you read this article respond to these questions:
- What 21st century skills do you emphasize in the classroom?
- What opportunities and obstacles do you see when you consider the ideas of this article?
You don’t have Categories yet so it will Post under “Uncategorized”. We’ll fix that tomorrow.

Go to http://www.edutopia.org/video. These are a good way to experience some success stories selected by the George Lucas Foundation as interactive uses of technology and real world connections to ideas that expand the ways we ask kids to demonstrate learning. Search for videos that would be applicable to your teaching setting and view 3 of them. Write a response that includes a link to the video and a few thoughts about how you might incorporate something similar into your teaching and learning.
